Gym Kids
Gym Kids
For the past 4 weeks all year 5-8 students had the chance to participate in an out of school gymnastics programme. It was held at Gym Kids Hobsonville. All classes had to walk to Gym Kids, it was only a 3 minute walk. We start of with basic movements and stretches then do handstands and more. We split off into groups and do different things , one group started on the floor and the other group started on the tramps and foam pit. After 10 minutes we would switch places and do different things. It was a great opportunity for students to get out of their comfort zone and to have fun.By Class Reporters

Tye dye
Tye dye
In term three all year 5 to 8 students got a chance to do tye-dye.
Students also paid to buy there own t-shirt that they made from tye-dye.
Here a some photos of the ones we did!
In the tye-dye we had to fold them, scrunch them up and do lots more!
First off all we sat down and got told all the instructions and chose our own colour for our t-shirt.
Soon after that we all went to some tables and sat quietly then grabbed some gloves and
we had a teacher and her son that helped us with the tye-dye.
Our t-shirts turned out really good.we all enjoyed our time at tye-dye.

Shooting Shuttlecocks
On Thursdays H2 goes to badminton. We played games and learned new skills. One of the skills that we learned was how to hit a shuttlecock, the next one that we learned was how to protect our faces if a shuttlecock came towards us.
We played a few games as well.
One of them was there were 7 people and one stood in the middle and the other stood of the crossing line on the outside. The middle person counted to ten while 2 other people swapped spots. Now if there was an empty spot the person counting could run to it. If they make it the person who did not have a spot would have to go to the middle and count. But if the person counting did not make it then they would go back to the middle and start counting again.
It was great to learn how to play badminton!
